What We Do

Every day families from all over Newfoundland and Labrador face the reality of a critically ill or injured child. For many of them this means they must travel to St. John's, to receive specialized pediatric care and treatment at the Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Ronald McDonald House will be there in those difficult times and we will provide a home-away-from-home for sick children, and their families.

The House will be a two-story structure with approximately 17,000 square feet of living space. It will be located within a five minute walk of the Janeway on the west side of Clinch Crescent and south of the parking lots of the Health Science Centre.

The House is specifically designed to provide a home environment for sick children, their siblings and their parents. Each room will be decorated with bright colors, comfortable furniture and child inspired accessories. The House will be bright, bold, and full of energy as children's voices and laughter make it a warm, comfortable and loving home.
The House will give sick kids what they need most- their families!
